Click play for the Grade 5 UN concert night performance. What a great effort everyone, fantastic! Dear Parents and Students of ISS, As some of you may have noticed, ISS took off on social media (SoMe) last Thursday as part of our UN Night celebrations. SoMe plays a very important role for many organizations today and it will be no different for ISS. We hope that they will serve well as additional platforms (on top of email and SMS) for the school to continually stay in touch with its valued community. As a start, we have chosen Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn to kick things off. We may add more SoMe channels as we go along, so stay tuned for future updates. We know for a certainty that a lot of great things are happening within the school community every day. We have many talents, wonderful projects, amazing moments and a tremendous community of international people! SoMe provides some of the best ways for us to showcase all that and open up communication. Official news and updates on the school's future developments will also be shared over these platforms. Here are the links to our platforms. We watched one video about why the moon appears to be different sizes when we look at it. Check it out. I have also placed it on the right hand menu bar for you to access anytime. http://thekidshouldseethis.com/
Useful web sites for our migration unit have been placed on the menu bar on the right hand side. Look at where the Central unit and lines of inquiry are in our current unit.
Every week, we will focus on a particular area to improve on. So far we have had a focus on pushing our chairs in when we get up so that we can all move around the room easier. Our current focus is on respect for the person who is speaking - look at and listen to them so that we can all have our say.
The class focus will now appear on the right hand menu of the Blog. It also |
