No one in the room? Turn the lights off. Lights on in an empty room is wasteful.
Air cons use a lot of power. Turn off when not needed. Fans use less.
Recycle paper. Use both sides of paper and then put in the correct blue bin.
Aluminum cans can be made into new cans again. Aluminum is made at a smelter that requires huge amounts of power.
Plastic takes years and years to rot, if at all. Also plastic rubbish is choking our oceans and waterways. Recycle bags and take a cloth bag to the supermarket for your shopping. When buying 1 or 2 small items, ask yourself 'Do I really need them in a plastic bag?' Maybe you can carry them, put them in your backpack or pocket.
Do your parents drive a car? Are there times when public transport can be used instead? How many cars do you see with only 1 person in them? How many trains and buses do you see with only 1 person in them?

Please write down (paper or Google Docs) all the arguments, information, facts and experiences you can think of to persuade me, Mr. Stevo, that you are correct. You may wish to research, Google, for informa

Well done all students (and mentors and teachers and parents!) for a successful Exhibition. Ten weeks of hard work came to an end with more than 600 students, teachers and parents viewing the 2 day display. Students were actively engaged in talking about their inquiry, showing a good level of knowledge, learning and understanding. A great display of PYP skills that the students, and iSS, should be proud of.
Students now have their groups, interest area, lines of inquiry, burning questions and mentors. A link to the school's on line library resources has been placed on the blog - scroll down the right hand side until you get to 'Current Unit.' I have placed it here as well.
